Hendrik V. (19) and Calvin S. (19) face a new court case. - The group "Gucci gang" is suspected of offering women for sexual encounters.
In the past, there was a group consisting of approximately 15 members. They chose their name based on a song by American rapper Lil Pump, which discusses wealth and luxury.
Prior to the official reading of the indictment at the Wuppertal district court, the public was barred from attending the trial.
According to the indictment, the defendants are accused of promoting acts of a sexual nature by minors, pushing some of them into the industry, and even committing violent offenses against them. In addition, Hendrik V. is charged with aggravated forced prostitution, drug trafficking, making threats, and driving without a valid license.
Five girls (14, 14, 15, 15, 16) allegedly offered themselves for prostitution services to the two 19-year-olds. Another 17-year-old girl only attempted it. Initially, these girls supposedly volunteered due to financial difficulties. However, most of the money earned, over several thousands of euros, remained with the defendants. The girls themselves only received small amounts.
One 15-year-old girl told WDR: "I had financial issues. I heard about it from a friend who took part and made good money. I thought, I'll do the same. That's how I got started."
The accused are said to have used various internet platforms to find and recruit the girls. They reportedly chose the locations for the sexual services, such as hotels and apartments. When the girls tried to quit, they allegedly faced pressure from the defendants.
