Post-Match Hunting Scenes Occur - The goalkeeper was compelled to escape from a group of enraged players.

### 450 km trip to help former club

In early 2024, Schossau, a player who was with Ahlhorner SV (a club from Oldenburg district in Lower Saxony) since his youth, moved up from the district league to TSV 1860 Stralsund (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern). However, he maintained ties with his former club. When Ahlhorn required a goalkeeper for the district cup semi-final on April 16, he arrived to provide assistance. This became possible due to his second match in the league. "I lend a hand at times," says the 25-year-old humbly. To achieve this, he traveled approximately 450 km.

Verbal abuse during the game

During a contentious game against TV Munderloh, the keeper experienced offensive remarks from spectators. A group of immigrants and youth players from his own club made unappetizing remarks about errors. The game ended with a 2:1 victory for the favorited visiting team in additional time. "We could have lost by a wider margin. I got a few things out of it," remarked the 25-year-old. Upon leaving the field, he was referred to as an "idiot" and a "victim" by the youth players. He distinctly remembers one such comment.

Confrontation at his car

Upon reaching his car, Schossau encountered a group of six people waiting for him. One person blocked his door and stated, "You're not leaving just yet." The keeper quickly got into the driver's seat and locked the doors. He's certain that if he hadn't retreated into his vehicle, he would have been physically assaulted. Instead, the youth players released their pent-up anger on his car, banging on it wildly and kicking it. He contacted the authorities. Police managed to apprehend one of the alleged attackers. The vehicle was left with dents and scratches, estimated damage: €5000. A charge for property damage is currently being pursued.

A large dent can be seen at the rear. Just one of many damages to the car caused by the aggressive players

Club suspends riot players

The club's Chairman, Carsten Beelage (56), is shocked by the incident. "This is completely unacceptable, we won't condone such behavior!" declared Beelage. The youth players underwent suspension. Beelage plans to expel them from the club. The players had garnered attention previously for their aggressiveness on the field during the previous summer. One game even had to be canceled after five red cards were issued. Schossau: "The violence needs to be addressed in Ahlhorn. The issue has been known for some time."
