Quit smoking with BILD and Jan Becker's help. - The effectiveness of smoke-free hypnosis is showcased on the computer.
Jan Becker, a renowned hypnotist and bestselling author from Germany ("Smoke-Free in Just Two Hours"), is here to help you make contact with your unconscious habits and finally end your smoking.
Is computer screen hypnosis risky?
"It's not," reasons Prof. Dr. Volker von Coubière. As a coach for executives, von Coubière employs hypnosis in his own life and describes it primarily as an "invitation to relaxation." Typically, a person can only consciously relax one muscle group. Under hypnosis, though, every muscle can be relaxed.
Hypnosis is in no way similar to stage hypnosis, as seen in holiday resorts or nightclubs. "This hypnosis is like daydreaming," he elaborates. "One thinks, 'I'm not there yet,' because one can still hear everything. But at the same time, you've already entered the trance."
Hypnosis to Connect with the Subconscious
Many struggle with smoking because they associate it with relaxation. This suggestion comes from the subconscious mind, which controls us to an astounding 88%, while the brain handles only 12% of our actions. As von Coubière elucidates, "There are only three methods to reach the subconscious: just before falling asleep, under stress, and during hypnosis."
It's crucial to avoid having negative thoughts prior to sleep, as neural connections are quickly established. Similarly, stress can cause us to associate smoking with leisure. This association has already imprinted itself in your subconscious mind.
Hypnosis allows us to penetrate that subconscious mind and rebuild the connection between smoking and relaxation. Von Courbière expands, "This is how we can disconnect smoking from relaxation once again."
