DJI's marketing spotlights the quietness of the machine (25dB max noise level), but none of the generators I've analyzed have experienced significant sound issues, including the DJI.
Therefore, while a power bank remains a power bank provided that it generates energy, the DJI stands out from the competition, boasting an enticing power bank for existing DJI customers. Pretty good value at $999, though other 1000w units may offer additional output options without needing proprietary accessories. I favor the Jackery Explorer 1000 or the Anker SOLIX C1000.
During the process of evaluating these devices, I've discovered that 2000W is a suitable threshold for maintaining enough energy to keep a household's assortment of gadgets operational during power failures, operate a heating or cooling source, along with occasional microwaving, and necessary medical devices. Right now, the DJI only offers 500W or 1000W options. If you can swing a 2000W model and buy a solar panel or two for backup in case of a prolonged blackout, think about splurging on a more costly option like the EcoFlow DELTA Max 2000 ($1,499) or Anker SOLIX F2000 ($1,999).
