The FDP demands a financial review. - The discontinuation of SVolt would significantly affect Saarland.

A Chinese firm hasn't firmly promised support for a project in Saarland, despite the ongoing legal ambiguities associated with it.

While the state's Ministry of Economic Affairs still appears hopeful, dissent from politicians is growing. The Saarland FDP Reflects: "Perhaps the state has picked the wrong horse in SVolt."

Have taxpayers' investments been thoroughly scrutinized?

Oliver Luksic, a leader in the Liberals, asks whether sufficient checks have been made on the large-scale allocation of taxpayers' money. "Without reliable buyers for batteries, it will be challenging to build any more factories." There are rumors that SVolt plans to reorient its European plans, attributing that, in part, to the loss of a major order.

Luksic emphasizes that rejection could cause significant harm to the Saarland location due to difficulties in Ford and the uncertainties surrounding Wolfspeed. The question arises as to whether the state government has appropriately examined the substantial investment of taxpayers' funds. Luksic proposes that the state's court of auditors conduct a specialized assessment.

Friedrichweiler citizens' initiative expresses concerns

Peter Lorson, a spokesperson for the Friedrichweiler citizens' initiative, reacted to the latest events: "Following months of people expressing concerns about multimillion-dollar investments without a proper investor agreement, now it's been revealed that SVolt has no responsibility whatsoever in Überherrn."

The initiative, prompted by the catastrophic floods prior to Whitsun, expresses its disapproval: "Adding more concrete at this time shows a gross lack of regard."
