The Atlantic City-based Ocean Casino Resort intends to reintroduce its online gaming platform, with Playtech serving as the tech collaborator.
The Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City, USA's gambling mecca, famously known as the 'East Coast Las Vegas', is preparing for a revamp. Their online counterpart, the Ocean Online Casino, is set to undergo a transformation. This overhaul includes tapping into the technology of renowned developer Playtech as their primary partner.
New tech for enhanced player experience
As part of this overhaul, the Ocean Online Casino will integrate with Playtech's latest platform known as PAM+. This partnership will expand the existing game library and incorporate stronger security measures.
Gamblers at the Ocean Online Casino can expect to play popular titles like Gold Rush Cash Grab in the future. Additionally, modern live games such as Adventures Beyond Wonderland will also be available.
The casino will also be connected to a software named BetBuddy via the PAM+ platform. This tool uses AI to track player behavior, ensuring no one exceeds their financial limits while gambling.
Ray Stefanelli, Ocean Casino Resort's Online Gaming Vice President, shared his excitement about the upcoming collaboration:
Playtech's comprehensive and cutting-edge technology offers us the necessary tools to offer an exceptional and captivating online gaming experience. – Ray Stefanelli, Vice President of Online Gaming (Ocean Casino Resort) – iGaming Business
Jonathan Doublet, Playtech's Vice President of Business Operations, also expressed pride in the Ocean Online Casino's selection of their new technology. He also confirmed Playtech's ongoing commitment to improving PAM+.
Online casino legalization in the U.S.
Despite the widespread acceptance of online sports betting in the U.S., online casino gambling is only legal in six states:
- Connecticut
- Delaware
- Michigan
- New Jersey
- Pennsylvania
- West Virginia
Rhode Island will join this list in March 2024, while states like New York are still debating or even opposed to legalizing online gambling.
Launch date unclear
The Ocean Online Casino's website does not provide any updates regarding the relaunch. At present, none of the new games or any mention of BetBuddy can be found on the site, suggesting that the relaunch has not yet started.
It remains unclear whether the casino will also redesign its website or if the implementation of the new software platform will be more of a behind-the-scenes process. Players will likely need to wait a while longer before the relaunch is complete.
Following the partnership with Playtech, the Ocean Online Casino will feature news about the addition of popular titles like 'Turbo Roosters' and 'Sweet Bonanza' to their game library.
The collaboration between Ocean Online Casino and Playtech is also expected to result in the introduction of 'Age of the Gods: God of Storms' and 'Queen of Gods' as new live gaming options, enhancing the overall gaming experience for players.
