Adore Jojo - Tennis off-court partners reunite.
Two weeks ago, the Spanish tennis player and the world number 9 were once again a couple. They reunited in the city of love, Paris, just before the French Open, which was set to begin on Sunday. Tsitsipas expressed his feelings, saying, "We're back together. Paula didn't do anything wrong, and I didn't do anything wrong either. It was just difficult for us to be apart."
This affair instilled a feeling of love that was beautiful to hear. Even Tsitsipas' performance in Monte Carlo improved significantly when he was still with Badosa before the break-up. However, after their separation, he experienced a sporting low.
Now, he says, "I didn't manage to handle it well since I was feeling the pressure on the tour and at work. Combining my personal and professional life felt like a huge mountain, and I made the decision to take a break." This respite allowed him to reflect on the situation and eventually led him to a realization.
Badosa requests a meeting
Tsitsipas: "After two or three weeks, I discovered that she was someone who offered me tremendous support. When she tried to reach out to me about meeting up, I sensed the depth of the love we shared."
He could not deny the intense feelings he harbored for Badosa and the connection they once had. "I realized that this relationship I have with Paula is unlike any other I've had in the past. She's my person, and we understand one another. It gives my life more meaning, and I want her by my side as much as possible."
No official statement was made by Badosa regarding their reconciliation. The couple will savour their time in Paris for the duration of the French Open. "We've met and are in a good place right now," he mentioned. In the first round of the tournament, Tsitsipas will face Hungary's Márton Fucsovics (32), and Badosa will play against Great Britain's Katie Boulter (27).
