Nathan Griffith, previously a cast member on "Teen Mom 2," was detained on Wednesday night in connection to a domestic battery case in Las Vegas. He is currently under arrest at the Clark County Detention Center, where he is being charged with strangling a relative. His bail was set at $5,000 and he is scheduled to attend a court hearing on Thursday at 1:30 pm.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received a call for assistance at a home where Griffith was staying around 9:15 pm on Wednesday. After doing their due diligence, police officials handcuffed Griffith for the alleged offense committed against an undisclosed family member.
From 2013 to 2015, Griffith was a star alongside his then-girlfriend, Jenelle Evans, on the reality TV show, "Teen Mom 2", with their rocky relationship often featured. On the show, they ended their engagement due to infidelity accusations.
Griffith, who has a 9-year-old son with Evans, was also taken into custody in February for choking his girlfriend, Victoria Ruggiero, in Delray Beach, Florida. The 911 call mentioned the ex-reality star "lost it" while choking and dragging her up a flight of stairs.
In addition, Griffith was arrested in 2019 in North Carolina for driving under the influence.
In a surprising turn of events in May 2022, Griffith married May Oyola. They are said to reside in Miami.
