Marie's Mortician Murder - Suspect drove his car back home after leaving the victim's body on a bus.

Can you imagine? The mortician alleged to have murdered Marie is claimed to have gone back to his house in Maxhütte-Haidhof, Bavaria following the act.

Inspector Corinna Wild shared some details based on the investigation so far. The inside of an underground parking garage is believed to be where Marie's body was found while her ex-boyfriend's home in Schwandorf district allegedly served as the crime scene.

The Opel Corsa with the body in the trunk is examined by forensics in the underground parking garage

Marie, a vocational school graduate, drove herself there in her blue Opel Corsa around lunchtime. Her sole aim was to return her front door keys. But traces of blood on the premises suggest she didn't make it out alive.

The investigators are currently working on nailing down the time of the incident. They're asking, "Who was present at the underground parking garage from 5 p.m. on May 3rd to 6 a.m. on May 4th?" Another question they pose is about passengers on bus route 41, traveling from Regensburg to Schwandorf within the same timeline.

Underwater search for Marie's cell phone

Marie was recently buried in her hometown's cemetery in Falkenstein near Cham with heartfelt goodbyes. Her parents eulogized her with this message, "A single person is missing and the world feels empty."

Simultaneously, officers are back in Maxhütte-Haidhof, searching a wooded area and a pond for Marie's cell phone. The man in custody is being accused of manslaughter and strongly denies any involvement. The police are welcoming any relevant information, which can be shared by contacting them at 0941/506-2888.
