At just 40 years of age, he remained a young person. - Sudden death of prominent German wrestler!
German wrestler John "Bad Bones" Klinger has unexpectedly passed away at the age of 40. His close friend and fellow wrestler Erkan Sulcani, known as Cash Money Erkan, shared the news on Facebook.
On May 14, John celebrated his 40th birthday. Only a few days later, he would meet his untimely end.
In a heartfelt message to the late Klinger, Cash Money Erkan recalled the memory: "On May 20, 2024, my BLOOD BROTHER John Klinger passed away unexpectedly a few days after his 40th birthday."
He further shared his feelings: "It doesn't feel real to write these words. When I entered the wrestling scene, John 'Bad Bones' Klinger had already established himself as a superstar. He was one of my role models in those early days. Throughout the years, he transitioned from coach/mentor to friend and ultimately to a brother. In the ring, we were blood brothers. Behind the scenes, we became real brothers. I continued to admire and look up to my big brother John until the very end."

Cash Money Erkan reminisces on Facebook: "Yesterday, we celebrated your new phase of life in a loud and jovial manner. We believed we had plenty of time left together. However, this celebration turned into a farewell party. I'm still looking up to you, my dear brother. And I know you're watching me from above now. To me, you were one of the most honest, respectful, and loyal individuals. Thank you for allowing me to know you and learn so much from you. A part of me has also died today."
John Klinger started his wrestling career in 2004. He made waves in TNA Wrestling in the USA, where he squared off against former WWE superstar Samoa Joe, who is the current AEW Champion. He also left his mark in the German Wrestling Federation (GWF) and "Westside Xtreme Wrestling" (wXw). He revealed earlier this year that he was planning on retiring from professional wrestling.
wXw weighed in: "John Klinger has defined wXw wrestling for more than a decade, capturing every major championship in wXw and winning both 16 Carat Gold and Shortcut to the Top. In his nearly 450 matches in the wXw ring, he always brought his all to entertain his fans. At just 40 years old, John passed way too early, just before his planned retirement."
The reason behind Klinger's sudden passing is still unknown. The most recent residence of Klinger was in Bremen.
