Steve Wynn's former Lake Tahoe estate is asking $76 million

A Lake Tahoe lakefront estate built by disgraced casino billionaire Steve Wynn could set a record for the area if it fetches its $76 million asking price.

In 1993, Wynn purchased 5 acres of land in Incline Village, part of Nevada Lake, for $6.5 million. He then built a house he called the "Old Forge." Five years later, Wynn sold it for $17 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The property is located on Lake Shore Drive, and its residents include Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, former junk bond king Michael Milken and tech billionaire Larry Ellison.

The 12,661-square-foot, four-bedroom home features a 1,500-square-foot three-bedroom guest house, separate fitness room, massage room, game and wine rooms, theater and four-car garage.

The property has its own private beach outside, complete with a deep-water dock, boat lift, jet ski platform and two buoys.

After Wynn's daughter, Kevyn, was abducted at gunpoint from her Las Vegas apartment in 1993, Wynn built a wall around the facility for security.

Old Forge is currently owned by Nora Lacey, founder of biotech company Cell Marque, and her husband, pathologist Michael Lacey. The couple purchased the Incline Village home in 2017 for $31 million, setting a regional price record.

Christine Perry of Christie's International Realty Sereno listed the home.

Who is Steve?

Wynn built the Mirage, the Bellagio, and then the Wynn and Encore, transforming modern Las Vegas into a luxury destination while making himself a billionaire.

In 2018, following a shocking Wall Street Journal investigation, dozens of women made accusations of sexual misconduct against him. The charges include sexual harassment, coercion, indecent exposure and an alleged sexual assault case that Wynn paid $7.5 million to settle.

Wynn resigned as chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts in 2018. As part of his separation agreement from the company he founded in 2002, which still bears his name, he was evicted from a Wynn Las Vegas mansion with his second wife Andre Andrea Hissom has lived there for about ten years. You now live in Florida.

Wynn continues to deny all accusations and has never been convicted of related crimes.
