Illegal activity - State officials probe into vandalized election signage

Law enforcement authorities in Tettnang, Ravensburg district have initiated an inquiry into a recent incident involving defaced election posters. Based on recent police reports, there is a strong suspicion that symbols of illegal organizations and politically motivated destruction of property were used. It is believed that various posters situated between Tettnang and Wangen were saturated with anti-constitutional symbols and offensive remarks. Police investigators are certain of the existence of two such posters, but are not ruling out the possibility that others may have also been vandalized. Allegedly, the posters bearing the symbols of the Greens and the CDU were targeted. As per reports by SWR, individuals unknown to the authorities spray painted the Waffen SS symbol and words such as "Hang the Greens" and "Security demands remigration" onto these posters.

Public statement, paraphrased.
