Well-being is in focus. - State legislature considers measure for maintaining healthcare facilities.

Recently, the Free Voters Party collected over 20,000 signatures for their initiative aimed at preserving all hospitals in Brandenburg. These signatures will be handed over to the State Parliament next Tuesday, as revealed by the parliament's president, Ulrike Liedtke. Before accepting them, the parliament will ensure that the initiative meets all its requirements. If it does, the State Parliament plans to make a decision on the matter within four months.

Péter Vida, the State Chairman of BVB/Free Voters, stated on Wednesday that they had gathered more than enough signatures needed for this initiative. The initiative seeks to establish a rescue fund for hospitals, which will help maintain all clinic locations. Health Minister Ursula Nonnemacher, from the Greens, supports the idea of saving hospital locations but is also interested in further developing these facilities.

Brandenburg parliament recently saw two other initiatives: one from the Left Party, who wanted free school lunches, and another from the AfD, proposing a ban on gender-inclusive language with special characters in official communications.
