Stake.com Develops Alternative Method to Finance Everton Football Club in Premier League

Stake.com is attempting to avoid these restrictions through their streaming service, Kick, which recently signed a sponsorship deal with EPL club Everton.

Kick's massive financial resources and neon green logo are entering the world of soccer with the help of Everton. By becoming a part of Liverpool's new jersey, they believe they can grow their platform through their connection with the Premier League.

The league will introduce a front-of-shirt gambling sponsorship ban in 2026. With this impending change, Kick's marketing team will have to get creative to promote Stake.com without violating the rules.

Stake.com is currently an Everton sponsor, but this situation will have to evolve with the implementation of new regulations. They also attempted to sponsor Chelsea before the plan was halted due to fan backlash.

Kick Enters the EPL

Kick, which is comfortable with gambling content like Twitch, is set to be Everton's official sleeve partner, as per a press release. They will also be the club's official streaming partner, joining its global partner portfolio on all digital platforms.

The Twitch competitor will have a presence in various stadiums tied to the club. Its brand will be showcased at Goodison Park, Walton Hall Park, and the Finch Farm training site.

The Kick name is set to make its debut this weekend. It will be featured on the sleeves of Everton's men's senior team during a preseason match against Sporting CP.

In celebration of the partnership, Kick and Everton have planned a series of events and ideas aimed at connecting the fans more closely with the club. For the upcoming season, Everton's women's team and its under-21 squad will also display the Kick brand on their sleeves.

Kick is making waves in the soccer world by becoming a sponsor of Everton. By doing so, they hope to attract both viewers and streamers.

It's clear from their messaging that they want to highlight the 95/5 revenue split in favor of content creators. Twitch provides a 50/50 split, and some creators don't even make that.

Kick is aiming to establish itself as the premiere platform for both viewers and creators by emphasizing the benefits it offers compared to other streaming services. This newcomer is aiming high, making it clear that it's the place for any streamer, while other platforms are seen as second-rate.

In return, Everton could benefit by having access to some of the most popular content creators available today.

Streaming Platforms Compete

Twitch remains the dominant streaming platform, although Kick is trying to gain ground. They grew from five million to 12 million accounts between May and July.

However, Twitch boasts 140 million registered users, having been around for significantly longer. Kick only gained momentum late last year.

Another streaming service, NASA+, is set to disrupt the market even further. Slated for Android, iOS, and other devices, it will broadcast live events, original videos, and more. While it doesn't appear to be designed for content creation, it hopes to draw viewers away from more popular platforms.
