At the primary train station, a fierce brawl broke out
Apparently, a bunch of heated insults instigated the violent punching and knife-brandishing. In the Averdunk-Passage of Königstraße, two groups of hot-blooded youngsters exploded with animosity. Some of the participants sustained wounds. There's uncertainty about the number of individuals involved. Various youngsters escaped the commotion.
Law enforcement and paramedics arrived with a strong presence. The police cited "murky circumstances". The Duisburg public prosecutor's office has assumed custody of the investigation.
Furious family members of the victims supposedly crowded in front of the police station and the hospital. Insiders warn: There might be reprisals, particularly if one of the victims passes away.
