Sphere CEO James Dolan accused of sexually abusing and trafficking masseuse
The CEO of Sphere Entertainment, which operates Sphere in Las Vegas, was charged Tuesday with sex trafficking and multiple sexual assault of a young woman who worked as a masseuse.
Victim Kellye Croft filed the high-profile lawsuit in California federal court on Tuesday. Sphere CEO James Dolan and embattled former film producer Harvey Weinstein both allegedly engaged in sexual acts.
Croft, a licensed massage therapist who once worked for the rock band Eagles, gave Dolan a massage in 2013 while the two were on tour. At the time, Dolan was a member of the band JD & The Straight Shot. The Eagles open the game.
The lawsuit says there was nothing particularly wrong with the massage until Croft tried to stop it. The lawsuit says Dolan viewed Croft's "resistance as a challenge or part of a game." In 2014, Croft returned to the Los Angeles tour, and Dolan allegedly smuggled her out.
At some point during her stay in California, Croft returned to a hotel and, according to the lawsuit, Dolan arranged a seemingly random meeting between her and Weinstein. In his hotel suite, Weinstein "attempted to intimidate Ms. Croft into giving him a nude massage on his bed and at one point prevented her from leaving his room."
Weinstein then followed Croft to her room and sexually assaulted her, the lawsuit alleges.
After the alleged attack, Croft went to see Dolan, who "didn't seem surprised or offered to help her report the assault to police," according to the AP. The AP added that Dolan, who served on the Weinstein Film Productions board for about a year between 2015 and 2016, "completely ignored the gravity of the situation and didn't really care what his girlfriend did to her." Suffering Trauma
Attorney Douglas H. Wigdor is one of the attorneys representing Croft. Croft said in a statement from his office:
"I am deeply traumatized by what James Dolan and Harvey Weinstein did to me so many years ago, and it was not an easy decision to come forward and demand justice. But in order to truly address my trauma, I must take ownership responsibility."

Croft is seeking damages in a jury trial.
The statement is baseless
Dolan's attorney, E. Danya Perry, said in a statement Wednesday that "all of the allegations against Mr. Dolan are absolutely without merit."
