Poland defeated by DFB women's team - Spectator does Nazi salute during Germany soccer game
During Germany's 4:1 win against Poland in the European Championship qualifying match, a spectator went crazy and performed the infamous Nazi salute at the Ostseestadion. This was confirmed by a police representative.
In total, there were seven criminal complaints filed against spectators in the Ostseestadion, involving suspicions of intrusion, offensive language, and displaying unlawful symbols.
A while ago, a video of the "Schnozel-Nazis" from Sylt sparked widespread outrage. The group was filmed shouting racist slurs at the upscale restaurant "Pony." Moritz N. (25) raised his arm for a supposed Nazi salute, and he made a "Hitler mustache" gesture with two fingers.
In a forgettable performance, league leaders Germany (Group 4, League A) struggled to secure a win against the bottom team. After taking the early lead with a goal from Padilla-Bidas (1), the German squad needed an own goal by Zieniewicz (34) to level the score.
Germany's women's team triumphed in the final stage, with goals from Schüller (77) and Gwinn (84/88, FE). After the match, national coach Hrubesch and his players sang praises of the stadium's fantastic atmosphere and mood.
Unfortunately, one spectator's actions managed to overshadow all the positive moments.
