Downpours and thunder showers expected. - Southwest faces potential for severe weather once more.
The weather experts at the German Weather Service (DWD) have warned of heavy thunderstorms in the districts of Stuttgart and Karlsruhe, with hail and strong winds anticipated from Tuesday afternoon. While these severe weather conditions are concerning, the primary danger lies in the torrential downpours that might occur. According to the DWD, up to 40 liters of rain could gather rapidly in a small area, which could lead to flooding, landslides, and even cellars being inundated. In some instances, up to 80 liters of rain may accumulate within a few hours. The people living in northern Baden should be prepared for 20 to 30 liters of rain to fall in a single day. Areas of the Black Forest in the west may experience even heavier rainfall.
