Shift in authority at Dresden's sports venue - Soccer Players Seize Control of Dynamo Temple
The Whites will play against the New Yorker Lions Braunschweig in the 1st Bundesliga on Sunday at 3 pm.
This calls for a floodlit night shift for the football party!
To get ready for the match, the stadium needs to be cleaned on Saturday evening, then refitted, the pitch marked, goals and advertising boards installed.
Sören Glöckner, the president of Monarchs, said, "We'll work hard until the stadium opens at 1 pm. Luckily, we have a well-rehearsed team because this isn't a new situation."
The stadium project company is offering active support as well. Jörg Dreßler, the managing director of Monarchs, said, "They do everything they can to ensure everything runs smoothly and help everywhere. For example, the greenkeepers who assist us in marking the lines on the pitch."
Dresden's footballers typically head to Dynamo Dresden's living room for a match and never fail to attract a large crowd. Glöckner commented, "This stadium is a force that pushes everyone!"
Advance ticket sales are booming again, and a new attendance record seems likely. The current record is 10,530, which hails from the previous year.
Season's goal: the title
The team is also excited about the match and the atmosphere in the stadium. Head coach Greg Seamon shared, "This is an incredible stadium in the league. The ambiance here is phenomenal. That can motivate my players."
After their initial win of 38:7 against Paderborn at the beginning of the season, Dresden aims to surpass themselves in this home game with an even better performance.
Going forward, Seamon has a clear goal in mind: "I want to win the championship with the boys. That's what we're playing for. Our team has the potential. They just need to show it on the field."
