Deadly Abuse in Nazi Storage Facility - Smartphone games were used to attract a murder victim to their demise.
Kevin R., a 20-year-old man, is being charged with murder associated with a severe robbery that led to a person's death. The prosecution is confident that Kevin R. enticed his friend, Daniel P. (deceased at 25), to a Nazi-era storage facility on June 28th, tied him up, and killed him. The corpse was not found until a month later in the water-filled cellar.
According to prosecutor Katharina Thieme, the defendant lured Daniel P. into the cellar by pretending to have sexual interest in him. Once inside, Kevin R. bound the man they'd only known for a few weeks with his agreement and covered his mouth with a sock. In the final moments, he shoved P. into the water tank, resulting in his drowning. The prosecutor's theory on the motive: "Avarice above all else!" The jobless Kevin R. subsequently obtained several hundred euros using the victim's EC card.
Through his lawyer Dr. Malte Heise, the defendant confessed to orchestrating a sexual encounter. "Daniel promised me a 6000-euro loan, which I planned to use for a 1800-euro moped purchase. The money never appeared."
"I aimed to teach him a lesson," Kevin R. conversed through his lawyer. "Daniel had feelings for me, wanted a relationship with me. On June 28th, I feigned a sexual tryst to entice him into a corn silo."
Following this, he tormented him using hot wax all over his unclothed body, making him "angrier than ever in my existence." "I said I'd come back the next day and threatened him with a leg, saying he'd tumble into the water." The subsequent day, he re-appeared and discovered that Kevin R. had passed away.
Two males, aged 19 and 20, who explored abandoned spaces at night discovered the body. "I spotted the body and at first assumed someone had placed a doll there," shared Oliver N., who also documented the incident with his smartphone. "I even probed it before recognizing it was real." It wasn't until some time after the exposure that his companion reported the situation to the police.
13 days have been designated for the trial's deliberation. The verdict is expected on October 7th this year.
