Enjoy a thrilling game of volleyball! - Sketcher takes on the role of head coach for the Netzhoppers.
The German volleyball club Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen has unveiled its new coach for the upcoming season - 41-year-old Australian Liam Sketcher. He's taking over from Alejandro Kolevich.
Recently, Sketcher was in charge of VK Karlovarsko in the Czech first division. Before that, he served as an assistant coach for VfB Friedrichshafen and United Volleys Frankfurt.
Netzhoppers faced some challenges last season, starting with six minus points due to licensing violations. Despite a young and mostly inexperienced team, they managed to finish the main round near the bottom of the league. Fortunately, no teams were relegated, so the club from Brandenburg stays in the top division.
They already made their first signing for the new season by re-recruiting Theo Timmermann.
