In the final ten minutes of the game, 32 goals were scored. - Should football matches played by Bayer team conclude at 80 minutes, then...

Bayer Leverkusen have reached the Europa League finals following a draw in the second leg semi-final against AS Roma. Once more, a late goal kept their undefeated streak going.

Josip Stanisic (24) managed to score the decisive goal in the seventh minute of added time. Under the guidance of coach Xabi Alonso (42), the team is now undefeated in 49 competitive games, surpassing the previous European record set by Benfica Lisbon between 1963 and 1965 (48 games).

Leverkusen's last-minute wins have been a regular occurrence this season, with 32 competitive goals being scored between the 81st and 90th minutes.

In the Bundesliga, had Leverkusen lost their home games against Hoffenheim (3-1) and Stuttgart (2-2), they would be sitting on 76 points rather than the current 84.

If they had drawn against Augsburg (1-0) and Leipzig (3-2), their points tally would be lowered by six.

In comparison, Bayern would also have lost a point if they had only played for 80 minutes, which would mean 68 points instead of 69.

If Leverkusen lost the potential title race, they would be eight points clear of Bayern and crowned German champions with just two games left.

Yet, the "Alonso team" would have blown their chance at a historic treble.

In the Europa League round of 16, things could have gone differently for Leverkusen. They could have lost both legs against Azerbaijani club Qarabag Agdam, with a 2-1 scoreline in the second encounter ending their unbeaten streak in their 35th competitive game.

In the cup quarter-finals, if they had faced extra time against Stuttgart (3-2), there was a chance that VfB could have come out on top.

However, these scenarios are simply hypothetical math games. This Leverkusen team is proving almost impossible to beat, even in the most desperate circumstances.
