Ösi Bremen's top performers - Schmid drives goals for Werder
In the 4-1 victory over Bochum, Romano Schmid, a swift Austrian attacker standing at just 1.68 meters tall, put on a fantastic display. Capping off a solid performance, the agile Schmid bagged his season's fourth goal. Gently maneuvering past the defender Ordets, Schmid's shot found the far left corner (87'). Goalkeeper Riemann could only watch in disbelief.
Schmid Makes His Mark: A Look at Bremen's Top Scorer
Schmid: "Although I respect Bochum, we had the potential to score eight times today, which makes the final score of 8th place feel slightly underwhelming."
To everyone's shock, Ole Werner, Bremen's coach, removed the team's strongest player from the field after 90 minutes and introduced the inked Isak Hansen-Aarøen. This decision immediately provoked an irritated response from Schmid.
Werder's coach: "Schmid believed he could still bag the remaining goals, but we wanted a fresh player to bolster our momentum."
At the last minute, Isak Hansen-Aarøen provided a pass for Weiser, who nearly scored (90+3). However, the win still remained 4-1.
