After retiring from professional sports - Schindler will remain with the team.
The negotiations between FCN and Schindler are advancing well and are anticipated to conclude shortly. However, the former skipper is taking a break in Portugal at the moment.
In the meantime, the homegrown player from Munich will impart his knowledge (412 professional outings for 1860 Munich, Huddersfield Town, and Nuremberg) in his new post. Given his past activities, such as when he coached the U15 team.
Schindler has been with the team since 2021. Due to injury problems (cruciate ligament rupture in May 2023, midfoot fracture in January, and a muscle fascia tear in April), he did not take the field last season.

A new recruit arrives
Striker Eliyah Rau (18) is making the move from VfB Stuttgart to FCN's U19. During the previous season, the U18 national team member scored four goals and provided one assist in eleven games in the Junior Bundesliga.
The goalkeeper commits
Baha Karakaya (19) has renewed his contract before it expired. The indigenous native of Rother will be part of the goalkeeper crew for the U23 alongside Nicolas Ortegel (20) and Armin Olayo (21) going forward.
Arfaoui understands contract in Bremen
The transfer of forward Amira Arfaoui (24) was expected, given the team's relegation. Now, her destination is known. Arfaoui is linking up with Werder Bremen. It will be her third stint in the Bundesliga, following Leverkusen and Nuremberg.
