New Jersey introduces: - Saint Pauli prepares for the Bundesliga.

Surprisingly, FC St. Pauli didn't wear new uniforms during their joyous win against Wehen Wiesbaden. Instead, they'll debut them for the second division championship.

The home kit for the upcoming 2024/25 season will be introduced to fans, signalling the start of collaboration with PUMA as the new kit provider. This new home jersey pays tribute to the 1991/92 season's much-loved jersey, which featured the large, brown and white squares. These trademark patterns now feature in a lighter and darker shade of brown.

It remains to be seen if fans will embrace this new look. However, history suggests popular jersey designs will sell like hotcakes. Set for release online, in stores, and at St. Pauli on May 20, 2024, the home jersey will cost 79.95 euros.

This is what the new St. Pauli jersey looks like in detail. The layout is reminiscent of rugby jerseys

St. Pauli's Merchandising Manager for Marketing and Digital, Alexander Timm, said, "It was crucial for FC St. Pauli that our sustainability values and DIY ethos continue in the new jersey. Despite the tight timeframe, we achieved outstanding results."

Nina Graf-Vlachy, Managing Director of PUMA, Central Europe, commented, "We're thrilled to unveil the FC St. Pauli home jersey for the 2024/25 season today. Given their successful season and well-deserved promotion to the Bundesliga, we eagerly anticipate the upcoming campaign and our future partnership."

These jerseys are made of at least 95% polyester using a process that turns textile waste into recycled materials without any decrease in quality. The ultimate goal is to create new jerseys from old ones.
