Before the finale of the season against Zwickau - Rushing onto the soccer field at Lok Leipzig
No peaceful conclusion here! A commotion went down just thirty minutes prior to the kick-off of Lok Leipzig's duel against FSV Zwickau.
Trouble at Lok Leipzig's pitch!
Zwickau's fans not only made off with one of Leipzig's block flags, they also carted it into their own fan section. Soon after, the Leipzig Ultras, around fifty of them, went berserk, rushing onto the pitch where both squads were getting warmed up.
All was well for the players, but the Leipzig supporters managed to snatch several Westsachsen training jackets left on the field. As the authorities showed up, some masked fans fled into their fan area, where the gate had already been opened.
In the past, FC Lok fans had already instigated utter mayhem during a match in Zwickau's scene, putting a massive dent in their facilities, costing them a hefty €10,000. A Leipzig sponsor was responsible for clearing up most of the wreckage back then.
