Ruhnert Looks Back at His First Season with Union Berlin

Ruhnert is optimistic: "But we know how Stuttgart managed to get out of the relegation play-off. So did Union. However, we're not there yet. All our attention is on beating Freiburg. We need to wrap up the current season before targeting a comeback in the Bundesliga next year."
To stay in the Bundesliga, Union must triumph over Freiburg and hope their fellow league competitors experience defeats. Ruhnert's future remains uncertain, despite the president's announcement that he'd be staying on; his role in the new season is yet to be clarified.
