Milan desires the Leipzig standout. - Rose recommends his leading striker Sesko.
The objective for the club is to attain victory as they inch closer to their season-ending goal: surpassing the points tally from their inaugural year 2016/17, which was 67 points when Ralph Hasenhüttl (56 years old, currently at Wolfsburg) was in charge. RB now has 63 points with two games to go.
Rose confessed, "You can't deny the fact that there's a bit of stress after reaching the Champions League. However, I anticipate us to get back to our grind now. I don't want people to think we're slacking off. That's what happened with RB previously."
Regarding sports updates: Xaver Schlager (cruciate ligament injury) is in Red Bull's rehabilitation center in Thalgau after his operation. Xavi Simons is suspended and may be replaced by Christoph Baumgartner. Dani Olmo and Benjamin Sesko (both have infections) are expected to recover.
Milan Vacillating Over Sesko
In terms of Sesko, soccer gossip has been circulating about Milan's interest in the RB sensation once again. Per Italian daily "Gazzetta dello Sport," Milan is serious about pursuing him. The fee for his transfer may rise from 50 million euros to 75 million euros depending on success.
When asked about Sesko, Leipzig's coach Rose advised his striker, "Benji has received good advice so far, and he's made good choices. We all know his potential; he's made a big impact in the second half of the season."
Rose continued, "The most significant thing is that a player who wishes to progress must always feel ready for it. The player can only answer that question for themselves. Benji has developed considerably, but I believe Leipzig could still be a good fit for him next season."
Benjamin Sesko, a Leipzig forward (20), was one of the most formidable strikers in the Bundesliga in the second half of the season. This Slovenian has netted nine goals in 15 games this term and has found the back of the net in each of his last five appearances.
It's clear that Sesko has been avoiding publicly committing to Leipzig. After the 3-0 triumph versus Wolfsburg in April, he remarked, "We'll see! But I'm fully committed to Leipzig and want to contribute as much as possible here."
However, Milan isn't the only team vying for Sesko, who has a contract with Leipzig until 2028. Arsenal has monitored him at times, and Manchester City and Liverpool are also keeping tabs on him. The international (27 caps/11 goals) is undoubtedly an attractive prospect for wealthy English clubs.
