A similar situation to the lost six-year-old Arian. - Rescued after several days: An autistic three-year-old child found in the forest.
AJ, a young autistic boy from Putty, a town in Australia's Sydney, vanished three years ago at approximately 12:30 pm. His distraught parents, Anthony and Kelly Elfalak, were left heartbroken.
A large-scale search operation was instantly launched and continued throughout the weekend, involving the police, firefighters, New South Wales Ambulance Service, State Emergency Service, and Volunteer Rescue Association. These groups employed dogs, horses, bicycles, and even helicopters in their efforts to locate the missing 3-year-old.
The situation touched the hearts of many citizens who were eager to assist in locating the little boy. Their dedication paid off when a crew spotted him from the air four days later.
The rescue was both touching and dramatic, as reported by Simon Merrick, the police chief: "The rescuers gently placed a hand on his shoulder to comfort him before hugging him. To everyone's amazement, AJ gave a big smile in response, comforted by their presence."
Upon being found, AJ's physical condition was examined at the hospital, where it was discovered that he was unharmed. His relieved family could finally welcome him back into their arms. AJ's father shared the emotional reunion: "He latched onto his mother's arms. When he heard her voice, his eyes opened, and he looked at her before falling asleep." It was a joyful outcome for little AJ.
The situation mirrors the story of another autistic boy named Arian. On April 22, Arian disappeared from his home in the evening. His father quickly reported it to the police.
Just like AJ, it was assumed that Arian escaped into the nearby forest. Over a thousand volunteers spent an entire week conducting night-and-day searches. Unfortunately, Arian has yet to be found.
