Is there a new top spot at the club? - Reichert holds the most promising prospects.

Even though their team lost by a score of 4-1 against HSV, talented keeper Jan Reichert (22) enjoyed a positive debut for FCN. He expressed, "I'm not happy with the result at all, but I'm content with how things went in general. I just want to reassure my team and show them that I'm present."

He accomplished this goal by stopping as many shots as possible, staying calm despite the occasionally shaky defense, and exhibiting superb ball distribution. At one point, he even used his head to prevent a goal by onrushing HSV striker Dompé in a manner similar to Manuel Neuer. Coach Cristian Fiél (44) also liked what he saw from the young star: "He's given his all from the first day of training with the U23s, and today was the result of that. I knew it would turn out like this because hard work always pays off. It's that simple."

Is he now the top keeper?

The truth is that he has the most chances due to his contemporary goalkeeping style. Reichert was determined, "I've been working hard for three years and have been waiting for this opportunity. When we resume play, I'll be ready to show everyone again that the team and staff can count on me. What ultimately happens is out of my control."

He made a statement in Hamburg.

Andersson's Unscheduled Farewell

Unfortunately, his time with the club ended sooner than expected.

Even though striker Sebastian Andersson (32) was replaced by Felix Lohkemper (29) in the 70th minute during the Hamburg game (1:4), he didn't make it to the end of the match on the field. An unfortunate blow to the back of the head by HSV midfielder Ludovit Reis (23) forced Andersson to leave the game in the 85th minute, as he experienced persistent dizziness. Geis (30) stepped in during the final minutes. Despite having a contract until 2025, he may have played his last game for the club.
