Featuring Boss Pérez! - Real shares impressive Kroos image
This picture demonstrates his remarkable career!
The day following Toni Kroos' (34) final home fixture for Real Madrid (0:0 against Real Betis), the Spanish club shared an awe-inspiring image of the 2014 World Cup winner on their official Instagram account (159 million followers).
At the backdrop, "Gracias por todo" (Thanks for everything) is visible on the LED stadium screen.
What makes it unique: the exceptional collection of Kroos' titles! In front of the two, there are all 22 (!) accolades that he has amassed since joining Real Madrid in 2014, showcasing four Spanish league championships (2017, 2020, 2022, 2024) and four Champions League triumphs (2016, 2017, 2018, 2022).
The segment finishes with a third photo, depicting Kroos together with Perez. Both of them are holding a Real Madrid jersey with the years of Kroos' tenure at the club (2014 - 2024) and a signature on the back for the camera.
Even at his last game at the Bernabéu on Saturday, the Real Madrid fans expressed their admiration for Kroos and his impressive title collection. In the Real Madrid stand, they displayed a choreography conveying "Thank you, legend" and the number 22 in tribute to the 22 titles he has won with Real Madrid.
Within three hours, the photo has garnered over a million likes from fans. They express their gratitude to their long-standing midfielder. One fan writes, "Imagine winning so many titles that it takes two photos to display them all." Another: "Toni is the greatest midfielder of all time."
Kroos had earlier announced on the joint podcast "Einfach mal Luppen" with his brother Felix his intent to retire after the European Championship home tournament in the summer. Until then, the title collector has the opportunity to augment his legendary status by accumulating two more trophies.
On June 1st, he is scheduled to square off against Real in the Champions League final. And with the national side, Kroos, re-called by national coach Julian Nagelsmann, will compete for the title at the home European Championship (opening game on June 14th).
It would be the fitting culmination of an extraordinary career...
