Rapper Jadakiss files racial profiling accusations against NoMad Las Vegas
Rapper Jadakiss says he was racially profiled while gambling at the NoMad High Roller Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
The Lox hip-hop legend said on social media that he arrived in Las Vegas on Nov. 29 for the final leg of Usher's residency at the MGM Dolby Live Theater in the Park. Jadakis said he was staying at the NoMad Hotel on the top four floors of Park MGM.
In a video posted on Dec. 2, Jadakis said there was racism behind the request.
Never play in NoMad again," Jadakiss said. "I don't know what happened. I've been playing here since Wednesday. I am a tax paying citizen. I lost my shirt, my socks, everything. "
Jadakiss went on to say that on Dec. 2, the night Arthur was last seen at the strip resort, security approached him and asked for identification.
"At night, they come to me...I won nothing! Is this racial profiling?" Jadakis asked. "I'm getting out of here. I'm never coming back. And I'm a millionaire."

The Nomad Las Vegas
As part of a rebranding project completed in March 2018, MGM Resorts renamed the Monte Carlo Hotel to Park MGM.
Part of the transformation involved MGM's partnership with the Sydell Group, which at the time owned and operated NoMad hotels in New York City and Los Angeles. NoMad NYC has permanently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. NoMad Los Angeles is closing in 2021.
The Sydell Group continues to manage NoMad Las Vegas in partnership with MGM. Park MGM's real estate assets are owned by Vici Properties.
NoMad shares many amenities with Park MGM, including its smoke-free casino. But just inside the NoMad's entrance and lobby is the resort's high-limit table gaming area, where Jadakiss plays.
Jadakiss did not respond to media inquiries about what exactly happened before the social media video in which he expressed dissatisfaction with NoMad/Park MGM's security measures. He also did not post about the incident on his various social media outlets.
Crime Story
Jadakiss had several run-ins with the law.
In 2004, he was arrested for marijuana and illegal weapons possession. He later entered into a plea agreement on the misdemeanor charge and paid a $900 fine.
In 2006, Jadakiss was arrested in his hometown of Yonkers, New York, for illegal possession of firearms and drugs. The charge was later dropped after it was discovered Jadakis was in the back seat of the car and the driver and passenger were in possession of illegal marijuana and firearms.
In August 2009, Jadakis' home in Yonkers was searched and police found heroin and marijuana. Law enforcement concluded the drugs belonged to two people who lived in the house while Jadakiss was on tour.
