Mega Music Event Held in Dresden - Rammstein's penis cannon makes a comeback.
In the wake of Prague, the scandalous rock outfit commenced their "Europe Stadium Tour" in Germany. This took place at Dresden's "Rinne", the exhibition center, on a night prior to the performances scheduled from May 15-18. An astounding 200,000 tickets were sold, leading to heightened anticipation. A midweek show in Dresden drew 55,000 fans eager to experience their favorite band. With so many in attendance, the cell phone networks buckled under the pressure and became inoperable by 7 p.m. Due to recent allegations leveled against Till Lindemann, there was no "Row Zero" this year. Nonetheless, the Rammstein concertgoers were treated to special pyrotechnics, with fans in the vicinity of the "fire zone" (costing 150 euros) feeling the full impact of the concert's heat.
Notably, the group's performance returned to tradition, as the "penis cannon" made a dramatic appearance during their infamous hit, "Pussy". This device, generated to simulate a powerful ejaculation, turned the front rows into a spontaneous foam contest.
Despite the explosive start, the show ended abruptly in Dresden's "Rinne" as the band vanished from the stage before 10 p.m. This was due to a regulatory mandate citing noise restrictions and enforced by the city council, which refused to make an exception regarding their noise protection regulations.
The group continued their tour in Vilnius on May 22, 2023, but haven't released any official statement in response to the allegations made against Lindemann during that concert. From August 5 onwards, the band ceased touring. However, Lindemann embarked on a solo tour. In contrast to the previous year's Berlin after-party's cancellation, there was also no sign of the missing penis cannon at the Munich concert. Additionally, neither "Row Zero" nor an after-show event were held in Munich.
Following accusations against Lindemann from women who claimed abuse at various Rammstein concerts, the investigation was discontinued as no evidence was found of these alleged events. Lindemann's repeated denial of these claims also played a part in the case being dropped.
Post-Tour Highlights:
- Cult Hit "Pussy" still features the penis cannon.
- No continued investigations despite accusations against Till Lindemann.
- "Row Zero" and after-show parties omitted during the tour.
