Racial Attack at Louisiana's Margaritaville Casino Caught on Camera
In a shocking turn of events, the identities of two individuals who were involved in an assault at a Louisiana casino were made public this week. During the incident, two women targeted a Black man and assaulted him, while a white man hurled racial slurs at the victim after seated near them at a slot machine.
The incident took place at the Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City, as reported by USA Crime. However, the location couldn't be verified immediately by .
The white couple was identified as Ashley and William Dison of Louisiana, with their names becoming widely circulated on social media. The victim, Devon Leslie Jr., also identified one of his assailants as Ashley Bieber Dison on Facebook.
A video of the event was shared by Tizzy Ent and has gained over 597K views as of Tuesday afternoon. An earlier video posted by Leslie had reached 248K views by this week.
"The story was that the woman got upset that a Black man was sitting near her or, as she put it, maybe an Arab," Tizzy Ent wrote on Twitter.
Racial Epithets Used in Video
During the altercation, the couple used several racial slurs against the man, including calling him a "N****r."
The male accomplice said, "Stop being a little bitch, you fking N**r." He later repeated the remark. Ashley Dison also referred to the victim as an "Arabian."
An employee at the casino reportedly asked the victim to stop recording. However, the victim refused.
"The woman hit me in the face and kicked me in the back because I sat too close to her and her boyfriend," Leslie said in a Facebook post. "This is how I was treated."
Both suspects were arrested on August 3, according to Leslie, who claims they were charged with assault. He asserted, "I did absolutely nothing wrong, nor did I defend myself against them."

Law Professor Disturbed by Racial Slurs
Southern University law professor Angela Bell expressed her distress over the incident, stating that the Black man's dignity was stripped in public when he could not sit near the white couple. Bell saw parallels between this case and the murder of George Floyd.
Bell, an expert in the law, participated in the posthumous pardon ceremony of Homer A. Plessy by Gov. John Bel Edwards in 2022. Plessy had been convicted for violating Louisiana's Separate Car Act of 1890, which led to the establishment of the "separate but equal" legal doctrine in Plessy vs. Ferguson.
Bell observed that the emotional outburst displayed by the white woman in the video was similar to the hostility of white women combating the civil rights movement.
Furthermore, Bell questioned the efficiency of the casino employee who seemed to be trying to restrain the white woman.
"She didn't see the urgency," Bell said. "She allowed it to go too far."
Bell also questioned whether the casino issued a statement concerning the incident, as their silence indicates a lot.
We reached out to Penn Entertainment, the parent company of the reported casino, for a comment but received no immediate response.
