Talks delayed. - Prussian string ensemble temporarily suspended

As they move forward in the third division, Münster's footballers are eager to answer the most exciting question of the season - promotion - on the pitch against Unterhaching this Saturday (13:30/live on Magenta Sport and WDR). However, the future remains uncertain for at least four players on the team.

The focus is on achieving the dream of promotion, with Sports Managing Director Peter Niemeyer (40) asserting their determination. "First, we want to fulfill our dream with all our might. Then we'll tackle the next tasks swiftly," he says. This sentiment is shared by the players, but uncertainty looms over the futures of four specific individuals.

●Marc Lorenz (35), the team's captain, is a key contributor with his set-pieces. His expertise played a significant role in Münster's 5:3 win over Viktoria Köln, where he assisted in all the goals. Despite his importance to the team, his contract, which was set to expire, has not yet been renewed.

Sports boss Peter Niemeyer, like all of Prussia, is concentrating on making the most of the second promotion match ball against Unterhaching on Saturday

Milanese natives are rooting for "Lore" to stay at Hammer Straße.

●Benjamin "Benny" Böckle (21), a loan player from Fortuna Düsseldorf, is another player whose future is up in the air. With Fortuna in the play-offs for the Bundesliga, they have put the "Böckle issue" on the back burner. "But they've kept an eye on me and plan to get in touch as soon as they know their standing," Benny says, happy to remain in Münster. However, if Fortuna doesn't want him back, a transfer fee will be necessary. Or they may extend Benny's contract and loan him out again.

The potential for other clubs to show interest in him remains a possibility.

●Johannes "Jojo" Schenk (22), a loan goalkeeper from Bayern Munich, may have to return to his parent club on July 1, where Manuel Neuer (38), Sven Ulreich (35), and Daniel Peretz (23) are already strong in goal. Jojo is half-Polish and has signed with Bayern until 2025. Since Bayern's goalkeepers are more than capable, it's unlikely they'll use him.

Future still uncertain! Prussia's Johannes Schenk (left), seen here working with goalkeeping coach André Poggenborg (right), will - as things stand now - have to return to Bayern at the end of the season

●Dominik Steczyk (25), a Polish striker who moved to Münster in the winter, has made an impression with his speed and ball control. Although a clause that would have automatically extended his short-term contract expired without effect, both sides seem open to continuing their collaboration. A deal is anticipated.

In contrast, rumors of midfielder Simon Pirkl (27) joining Münster from Austrian Bundesliga club FC Blau Weiß Linz seem less certain. Niemeyer is familiar with Pirkl, but there has been no direct contact thus far.

It is quite conceivable that the agile striker Dominik Steczyk (left) will receive a new contract with Prussia
