Prolonged Imprisonment Following Partner's Strangulation and Burning in Munich

Rumour has it that he transported her body to a woodland near Berg on Lake Starnberg. There, he supposedly dug a hole, filled it with petrol, and ignited the remnants of her. Later, he buried her under a layer of dirt and branches. This gruesome discovery was fortuitously made by some hikers with a dog approximately six weeks later.

The indictment suggests that this 25-year-old Hungarian woman, who moonlighted as a sex worker, and the Bulgarian-born suspect had a relationship spanning several years and produced two children together. Conflicts arose from her working as a sex worker overseas, leaving him behind in Budapest with their kids.

The crime occurred during a lengthy stay of the woman in Germany. Based on the public prosecutor's office's findings, an argument broke out between the woman and her partner, who traveled with her in Munich. Upon learning of her refusal to cease being a sex worker, the indictment states that the defendant avenged his ire by lethally injuring her.

The Budapest-resident suspect was identified as a potential perpetrator following the discovery of his partner's body. The authorities apprehended him in Budapest in April 2021 and transferred him to Germany for subsequent prosecution.
