Prince Harry and Meghan Attend Katy Perry's Last Vegas Performance
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle shocked onlookers last night as they attended the last show of Katy Perry's "Play" residency at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas.
The Sussexes are friends with Perry and her fiance Orlando Bloom who they befriended in Montecito, California in 2020. Bloom acts as a lookout for photographers for the couple.
It might seem surprising that they're friends with Perry considering she performed in May at the coronation of Harry's estranged father, King Charles III of Britain. However, it appears that liking Katy Perry is a pardonable offense.
A Closer Look
In the Twitter image above, notice the two familiar faces among the crowd, sitting three people to the right of Harry. The former royals stand out even in Vegas where Celine Dion usually steals the spotlight.
This outing marks the second public appearance for Dion since disclosing her diagnosis of Stiff Person's Syndrome in December 2022.
Stiff Person's Syndrome is a rare and progressive neurological disorder that causes painful and uncontrollable muscle spasms triggered by noise and emotional stress. Dion shared in a tearful video that the spasms make everyday tasks difficult, and impair her singing ability.
At a Vegas Golden Knights hockey game two days ago, Dion was first spotted in public since her health announcement.
Celine Dion's Comeback Speculations
The revelation that Dion attended Perry's final show and danced throughout could signify that her health has improved sufficiently for her to resume her originally scheduled residency at Resorts World Theatre.
Though there's no cure for Stiff Person's Syndrome, Dion expressed in a statement on May 26, 2023, that she's "working really hard to build back my strength," hinting that she may achieve temporary victories over the condition.
Officials from AEG Presents, the company responsible for scheduling at Resorts World Theatre, have confidently asserted that Dion would recover enough to perform there in 2024.
