Concerning sign. - President Putin deploys nuclear weapon.

Vladimir Putin, the ruler of the Kremlin at 71 years old, ordered nuclear drills with military personnel near Ukraine around two weeks back. His buddy Alexander Lukashenko, the despot of Belarus at 69 years old, shared news of his country's interest in joining the exercise.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has now unleashed a video showcasing the deployment of a Yars nuclear missile. The Russians reveal: "As part of the planned battle exercises, the Yars missile systems of the Yoshkar-Ola missile formation practice maneuvering on combat patrol paths."

Thus, from Russia's perspective: completely normal, simply part of a workout. The missile is also unveiled during the annual 'Victory Day' celebration (May 9).

Early in May, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the drills aimed to "step up the preparedness of the Russian non-strategic nuclear forces to execute combat missions." These drills were a consequence of "provocative statements and threats from Western officials."

Putin's War Ministry later explained that the drills would transpire in the near future. The military divisions involved in the exercises would undertake a set of measures to "practically address problems related to the preparation and use of non-strategic nuclear weapons."

▶︎ Based on preliminary reports from Russia, it is evident that the Kremlin is preparing for missile launches and tests in the period between May 16 and 26. Russia last tested an intercontinental ballistic missile in November 2023.

Kremlin dictator Putin has frequently warned about employing nuclear weapons since the Ukraine invasion in February 2022. His objective: to cultivate anxiety and immobilize support for Kiev.

Assaults in Kharkiv

Putin's forces are also spreading fear in the Ukrainian area of Kharkiv, where they have waged a massive offensive since last week, capturing multiple towns.

During his ongoing journey to China on Friday, Kremlin dictator Putin declared that Russia wasn't aiming for the city of Kharkiv. Putin asserted that Russia is now establishing a buffer zone in the region because the Russian area of Belgorod is being bombarded with drones and missiles from the town of Kharkiv.

▶︎ Putin's troops aren't delivering any significant victories on this battlefront. NATO's Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, Christopher Cavoli, doesn't anticipate the Russian army to achieve a strategic breakthrough in Kharkiv right now.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenskyj (46) visited the relentlessly bombarded Kharkiv region on Thursday and discussed the stabilization of the situation there.
