According to the firm, the affected product is in a 0.25-liter container, featuring a production date of 23.01.2024, an expiry date of 30.03.2026, and the batch number 51368.

The company's release disclosed that one of the ingredients, 'chopped wild garlic leaves,' came from a supplying company contaminated with salmonella bacteria. Subsequently, an announcement was made on the Lebensmittelwarnung.deportal, indicating that Bavaria, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Lower Saxony were specifically impacted by this recall.

Anyone who already bought the oil can exchange it for a reimbursement at their local store. This bacterial illness, salmonella, is known to cause discomfort like diarrhea, abdominal pain, and vomiting after a few days for most individuals. However, infants, young children, the elderly, and people with a compromised immune system are more vulnerable to more severe consequences.
