In the heart of Essen, Germany, a beach volleyball tournament is happening until the weekend. Surrounding Kennedy Square, there are food vendors providing meals from numerous countries.
During Thursday afternoon, numerous individuals experienced queasiness and throwing up. They claimed they had eaten from a noodle stand prior. Out of precaution, an emergency call was made.
Due to the vast number of hurt, five ambulances, two doctor vehicles, three control cars, and a fire engine were employed. The paramedics tended to the 14 sick individuals, treated them, and gave them bags. Once they were all handed over, the patients went home to recover. None of them visited the hospital.
"The health department investigated the food truck this morning. So far, they haven't spotted anything wrong. The owner maintains that she didn't sell anything with eggs or cream to the people yesterday," says organizer Frank Grabowski.
The event coordinator, traveling from Hamburg to North Rhine-Westphalia, intends to assess the situation personally and make a decision regarding the reopening of the food truck.
