Homburg: Town's Name Under Controversy - Potential collapse following a blaze.
After a fire occurred in a residential building over the weekend, inspection revealed a support beam in the underground garage situated directly under the courtyard passageway to the upper deck had been significantly damaged. To ensure the beam's stability, it will be reinforced with additional supports and beams.
Approximately 25 volunteers from THW (Technisches Hilfswerk) are on the job, and one of them is an engineer acting as a construction advisor. To permit the THW to carry out their work, the public order office in Homburg has closed off a section of Homburger Straße.
The THW supervisor anticipates the project to continue "at least until 8 pm." In the name of safety, the THW emergency vehicle obstructs the courtyard passage to the upper deck.
