Missing teen last seen in Cologne's Bürgerpark - Police rescued Helin (3) from an apartment following a 13-hour ordeal.
In Kassel, there's a tiny Syrian lady who stands around one meter tall. Lately, she's been visiting her mom's family in a cathedral city in North Rhine-Westphalia with her mother. They stayed for three weeks.
Last Friday evening, in North Rhine-Westphalia's Bürgerpark, this woman and her two aunts had a picnic on the grass. As the park in Cologne bustled with activity, a pink balance bike was seen zooming around, ridden by the little girl. At about 8 p.m., one of her aunts suddenly lost track of the girl in the crowd. Consequently, the police immediately responded with a large team on the lookout for the girl.
Early on Saturday morning, at around 9:30 a.m., the police raided the apartment of a man living close to the aunts and the Bürgerpark. They found the girl safe inside the apartment. An officer informed: "The small girl seems unhurt. She is currently receiving care from relatives and being questioned by emergency services in the presence of her parents."
The authorities are still unsure "how the girl managed to get into the apartment and who might've been there at the time."
