Illicit Acts - Police conduct raid on suspected doping dealers, apprehending men.

In Hesse, authorities arrested three individuals on suspicions of dealing in performance-enhancing substances across various regions. This was revealed in a Tuesday announcement from the customs and public prosecutor's office of Frankfurt. The police conducted searches in multiple locations, including Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Berlin.

Over ten thousand ampoules, ten thousand tablets, and 1,200 syringes containing performance-enhancing drugs, along with more than 150,000 euros in cash, were seized. Based on rough estimates, the drugs' value could be around 60,000 euros. Two firearms, ammunition, and a kilogram of black powder were also discovered during the raids. The majority of these substances were found by investigators in a car parked in an underground garage in Frankfurt according to a customer representative.

Officials traced the case back to a package containing performance-enhancing substances from Spain originally confiscated by customs in 2022. Further such substances were then located in the home of the intended recipient. Arrest warrants had been issued for three men aged 27, 36, and 38, who are being investigated for trafficking in these substances in significant amounts. They were scheduled to appear before an investigating judge on Tuesday.

The raids took place in Frankfurt, Dreieich, and Langen (Hesse), Pforzheim, Constance, Rheinstetten, and the Karlsruhe district (Baden-Württemberg), Monheim am Rhein and Warburg (NRW), the Stade district (Lower Saxony), the Bad-Kreuznach district (Rhineland-Palatinate), and in the districts of Günzburg and Eichstätt (Bavaria) as well as Berlin.
