Is it the Champions League or FCM? - Poker playoffs for favored strikers have commenced.
A Cape Verde international, who was loaned to Austrian champions Sturm Graz in the winter, has left an impression at his temporary club. After an initial injury, he became a regular for coach Christian Titz.
Now, the future of Bryan Teixeira is uncertain. Titz expressed his appreciation for the striker following a 2:3 defeat in Düsseldorf where Teixeira scored, "we believe Bryan is a talented player. But he's still with Sturm Graz, so we'll have to wait and see what happens in the future."
Teixeira's contract in Graz lasts until 2026 and there's a possibility of another loan or a purchase.
Bargaining with FCM
There are pros and cons for both FCM and Graz. Sturm Graz will feature in next season's Champions League, which could be enticing for Teixeira. However, Titz's appreciation and Teixeira himself seems to be in favor of Magdeburg, where he played during his loan period.
Teixeira vented his gratitude to his time at Magdeburg through his Instagram account, "I'm so thankful for everyone who made my time here so special. What a club, what fans!"
The verdict is still out on whether Teixeira will stay with Magdeburg or not.
