More than two decades since the initial release - formerly titled "The Settlers of Catan" - a new installment drops: "Catan: Energies."
Theme: The island of Catan is at a pivotal moment, environmental contamination is wreaking havoc. The competitors must determine: Cheap, fossil resources or clean, renewable energy innovations? The answer might lead to catastrophic results! The construction of cities and settlements even has an influence on the ecosystem. Climate reform is crucial!
Father-son creative duo behind the new installment
The game revolves around the hot-button subject of eco-friendly energy generation. The creators are Benjamin Teuber and his late father Klaus Teuber, the pioneer of Catan.
"Catan: Energies" is geared towards the popular topic of sustainable energy production. Suitable for three to four individuals aged twelve and above, it lasts approximately 90 minutes and doesn't necessitate the original game.
Apart from traditional aspects like gathering, commerce, and building, the game incorporates realistic aspects, such as climate summits. Novel elements like power plants, energy tiles, and eco-occurrences provide fresh tactics and tales for the fundamental principles.
