This unique game, developed by YouTuber Dynamic Pear, takes place in the setting of Mercer, a world 145 years after a vaguely Fallout-esque nuclear catastrophe. Players will navigate a full-fledged map located in Excel cells, inspired by the iconic pixel art.

In this turn-based adventure, battle is the main focus, with mechanics similar to Dungeons and Dragons. Battles unfold through pop-up boxes, showcasing enemy sprites accompanied by text boxes for stats and actions. The creator, Pear, explained in a brief intro video:

Known as "Fallout in Excel" on his website, Dynamic Pear's creations don't stop there. His previous works include Excel-based games like Pokémon, Baldur's Gate III, a horror game, and a life simulator.

To try out this Excel-powered, Fallout-inspired RPG, just download the workbook from his website, open it in Excel, and create your own adventure. Note that the game depends on Excel macros, so although Google Sheets or other Excel alternatives can view it, only Microsoft Excel can play it. Here's a guide on how to get Microsoft Office for free.
