Before the North West 200 motorcycle race in Northern Ireland, there was a shocking accident during training. Paul Cassidy lost control of his motorcycle while taking a bend, resulting in a crash into a padded wall. Despite the safety measures, Cassidy was still launched high into the air by the collision. He eventually landed on a car in a garden.
Cassidy describes the events leading up to the accident, stating: "I was following another driver. I had swiftly shifted into fourth gear when the driver in front slowed down abruptly. The marshals present confirmed my observation. The driver looked over his left shoulder and turned left unexpectedly, being unaware that I was about to pass him."
Unfortunately, Cassidy could not avoid the crash, as he adds: "At that speed, there was nothing I could do but make contact. I soared about eight meters through the air and fortunately landed on a car in a front yard."
And thus, these mysterious protective spirits played their roles ...
