Research confirms: - Penis sizes are increasing progressively.
The researchers at Stanford University have measured 55,761 penises from 1942 to 2021, using data from 75 different studies.
► Their findings revealed a significant increase in the average size of an erect penis, up by 25% from 12.2 to 15.2 centimeters, during the same period. In the flaccid state, the average size was 8.6 centimetres.
Could environmental chemicals be the reason?
Dr. Michael Eisenberg, a professor of urology at Stanford Medicine, worries that this increase could be due to harmful chemicals we're exposed to.
He stated, "Any overall change in development is concerning, as our reproductive system plays a crucial role in human biology."
"Such a drastic shift indicates something major is taking place in our bodies. We need to identify the cause behind these changes."
The expert continued, "One possible factor might be exposure to chemicals like pesticides or personal care products that interfere with our hormone system."
► Several chemicals are prevalent in our surroundings and food. Chemical exposure is believed to be responsible for boys and girls reaching puberty at a younger age, which can impact genital development.
In conclusion, the researchers suggested that further investigations be conducted to confirm and understand the factors responsible for this trend in penile size.
