Youth Player from Bayern - Pavlovic outshines the luster of the European Championship trophy.
Yesterday, the European Championship trophy was displayed in a Telekom store, allowing fans to take pictures with it. One fan favorite who showed up was Aleksandar Pavlovic (20), a player who excelled during his first professional season and was nominated for the tournament by Julian Nagelsmann (36).
Despite the massive turnout, Pavlovic was more than happy to oblige and took pictures with countless fans. The young talent continued to smile and write autographs despite the long line of excited supporters.
In fact, the trophy itself seemed to be an afterthought for Pavlovic: "I've admired it several times. I really, really, really like it!"
News of his nomination broke on RTL on Monday via Frauke Ludowig (60), who had a connection with the young star - she mentioned watching the channel occasionally with her sister.
Asked about his feelings when he received the news, Aleks replied: "I received a message in the morning, and in the evening it was revealed on RTL exclusively. It was a terrific sensation, a truly memorable moment."
Though he's already made a name for himself, Pavlovic is eager to become a full-fledged national player. Unfortunately, an illness forced him to cancel an appearance earlier this year.
Fortunately, he's already familiar with what the trophy looks like - so perhaps he'll have a chance to see it again in two months.
