Who'd have guessed that behind the glitz and glamour of showbiz, celebrities age just like the rest of us? And what better way to celebrate this milestone than with parties, presents, and time with loved ones?
So who's the birthday boy today?
Twins Heiko and Roman Lochmann Turn 25
Born in Mainz on May 13th, 1999, twin brothers Heiko and Roman Lochmann are an inseparable team both on-screen and off. While Heiko's career gained momentum later, Roman took the spotlight early on. He made waves by clinching first place in the Austrian competition show "Kiddy Contest" alongside a co-contestant in 2009. This was just the beginning for Roman; he subsequently made appearances in popular programs like "Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel" and won the singing contest "Wer ist Deutschlands Bester?."
In 2011, the twins collaborated on a YouTube channel together, performing under the moniker "Die Lochis." Their track "Durchgehend online" made it to the charts in Austria and Germany for two weeks. Incredibly, they had garnered over 2.63 million subscribers by May 2024. Aside from their music careers, these dynamics duo served as campaign ambassadors for the educational initiative Youth against AIDS since 2014, despite having not yet graduated high school at the time. They finally received their diplomas in 2016.
Additional television engagements graced the duo's 2018 schedule. Both brothers participated in the eleventh season of "Let's Dance" and also raised funds for a worthy cause through "RTL Ninja Warrior Germany Promi-Special."
However, 2019 brought a massive change to the Lochmanns' lives. The twins revealed they'd be going their separate ways professionally, effectively ending the illustrious "Lochis" era. In October, the pair commemorated their farewell with a farewell concert in Dortmund's Westfalenhalle. To share their story, they published an autobiography titled "Willkommen Realität - Die Lochis erzählen ihre Geschichte" that same year.
But their careers didn't stop there. The brothers starred in the 2020 movie "Takeover - Voll Vertauscht" and made a comeback to the music scene in 2021 as "HE/RO" (short for their names, Heiko and Roman).
